Al Nassr coach Jorge Jesus lamented the interruption of the Saudi league at a time when his team is experiencing its best moment of the season. The coach believes the club has reached a high level of readiness and views the remaining eight matches as true 'finals' in the title race, where they hold a three-point lead over Al Hilal. 'Unfortunately, the league is stopping at a time when Al Nassr is at the peak of its technical performance,' Jesus stated after the 5-0 victory over Al Khaleej on Saturday. In previewing the final stretch of the competition, the coach was clear about his objectives: 'We have eight games left, and I see them as eight finals. I hope we can overcome them all and win the title.' Al Nassr will only play again on April 3 against Al Najma, and João Félix will not be in that match due to an accumulation of yellow cards, a topic Jesus also addressed in the press conference. 'I don't ask players to receive yellow cards to miss a specific game; that's not part of my style. We will lose João Félix against Al Najma, but the card he received came during the game and was not at my instruction,' he clarified. João Félix's performance also received positive remarks, with the coach highlighting the historic numbers of the Portuguese forward. 'Today, João Félix reached historic numbers that he had never achieved at the clubs he has played for. This demonstrates remarkable individual work, alongside the great collective effort within the club,' he praised. With the two goals Félix scored against Al Khaleej, the forward reached 21 goals this season – his highest in a single season throughout his career, surpassing the 20 goals he scored for Benfica in 2018/19. Since then, Félix had never scored more than 10 goals in a single season. Finally, Jesus pointed out as a positive aspect of this break the return of Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané to the team when the competition resumes, which, according to JJ, will provide an important boost to the team for the resumption of the competition. It is worth noting that Ronaldo is recovering from a muscle injury, racing against time to be ready for the national team's stadium at the end of March.
