Arsenal returned to winning ways this Sunday. After a 1-1 draw against Brentford midweek, the Gunners thrashed Wigan 4-0 and advanced to the fifth round of the FA Cup. Manager Mikel Arteta made several changes to the starting lineup, with only Mosquera, Eze, and Madueke retaining their positions for this FA Cup match. The numerous changes did not affect the Premier League leaders, who resolved the game within 27 minutes. Madueke was the first to score at the 11th minute, finding the net after a brilliant pass from Eze that sliced through the opposing defense. Seven minutes later, Gabriel Martinelli received the ball perfectly from the England international and, with a left-footed shot, doubled the lead. In the 23rd minute, Saka crossed, Gabriel Jesus slightly deflected the ball, and Wigan defender Jack Hunt headed it into his own net. The Brazilian forward made it 4-0 in the 27th minute with a classy chipped shot right in front of Sam Tickle. Arsenal dominated and, unsurprisingly, confirmed their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
