Borussia Dortmund has officially announced the upcoming transfer of left-back Kauã Prates, 17, who will arrive from Cruzeiro in the summer for a fee of just 7 million euros, plus 5 million in bonuses. The young talent's contract will be valid until June 2031. The former player of Leonardo Jardim in Brazil was in Dortmund during the week and watched his future team's victory in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League playoff against Atalanta (2-0), before signing the contract and returning to Brazil. Despite his young age, Prates already has 17 games and 1 goal for the first team of his home club and could gain more experience with the Cruzeiro jersey before his move to Borussia. He also has five caps for the Brazilian U-17 national team.
