Atlético Madrid reached the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League after defeating Club Brugge 4-1 in Madrid on Tuesday, in the second leg of the playoff. Carlos Forbs was a starter, and Sorloth, the rojiblancos' forward, was the standout player, scoring a hat trick. The Norwegian opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a cross-shot that left goalkeeper Mignolet exposed. Ordóñez equalized in the 36th minute, and with the score at 1-1 and after a 3-3 draw in the first leg, the tie was level at halftime. Johnny Cardoso put the colchoneros ahead 2-1 with a good shot from outside the box in the 48th minute, and in the last quarter of an hour, Sorloth shone again: he finished off a good combination between Lookman and Griezmann in the 76th minute and tapped in a cross from Ruggeri in the 87th minute. In the Round of 16, Atlético Madrid could face Tottenham or Liverpool.
