Daniel Bauer The Wolves – Official: Wolfsburg fires second coach of the season

Daniel Bauer was dismissed this Sunday from his position as head coach of Wolfsburg following poor results, making him the second coach to be removed during the current season. "Wolfsburg has parted ways with coach Daniel Bauer. The 43-year-old was fired with immediate effect this morning. Vf L will soon announce his successor," stated the club, currently ranked 17th (second to last) in the Bundesliga, in a statement released on its official website. Bauer's departure comes after another defeat in the league on Saturday at home against Hamburg (1-2), featuring Fábio Vieira. The club, which is three points behind St. Pauli, the first team outside the relegation zone, has not won since January 14, recording six losses and two draws in the Bundesliga since then. The Wolves are in their 29th consecutive season in the German top flight, having even been champions in 2008/09.
