Liam Rosenior, the Chelsea manager, says he expected some of the online criticism he has received since taking charge of the London club, but insists he does not let it affect him, even though various posts and jokes online impact his family. Despite a positive start with the Blues, having won seven out of nine matches, the coach has been the target of mockery on the internet, focusing on some unusual phrases and mannerisms, with jokes comparing him to the character David Brent from the British series The Office, as well as Will Mc Kenzie from the series The Inbetweeners. When asked why he thought this was happening, the Englishman, who does not have an official presence on social media, said at a press conference: 'I know this because I have teenage children. They are on social media. It affects them. It affects my parents, it affects my family.' 'But I knew that when I accepted this job, this would happen. It's normal. So, for me, when you're prepared for it, you can smile. I'm a confident person. And those who let themselves be affected by things like this shouldn't be in this job. To be honest, I really enjoy it. I'm enjoying the work I do every day. I know that, over time, people will start to judge me by what they see on the field, which is the most important thing,' added the former Strasbourg coach.
