Roy Keane, former captain of Man. United, criticized Carlos Queiroz, former assistant coach of the Old Trafford club, while recalling the time they spent together at the Red Devils. Although he acknowledged Queiroz’s qualities, he questioned the Portuguese coach’s ability as a head coach, before he leads the Ghana national team in the World Cup — facing, among others, Thomas Tuchel’s England. “He was a brilliant coach, but I have huge doubts about him as a head coach,” Keane stated on ITV, adding: “I felt he had the personality of a dead fly when I worked with him.” “I just hope they don’t become too defensive. One of Carlos’s strengths was the defensive side of the game,” the Irishman warned.
