Patrick Videira has renewed his contract with Le Mans for three more seasons, until 2029. The luso-French coach, who led the club from the third tier to Ligue 1 in two seasons, will continue to guide the team at the top of French football. The son of immigrants and a former player for clubs such as Chaves, Maia, and Ermesinde, he turned down several offers in recent weeks, including one from Lens that would have allowed him to compete in the Champions League. Videira chose to continue the project of a club that has gained fame in recent months for having former Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa and tennis player Novak Djokovic as shareholders.
