Roma is imposing a strict salary cap for the upcoming season in an attempt to control its finances, and the contract renewals for Paulo Dybala and Lorenzo Pellegrini depend on their acceptance of significant salary cuts. According to reports from Italy, rejecting this scenario will result in the departure of the players. The goal of the giallorossi management is for the total salary cost not to exceed 60 percent of the club's revenues. This strategy leads to new conditions for the two stars of the team, as negotiations for their stay will only begin if they accept salaries that do not exceed 4 million euros per year. Currently, Pellegrini's annual earnings are around 7 million euros, including bonuses, while Dybala receives about 8.5 million. Adjusting both contracts is considered essential for meeting the financial plan, especially since the team remains outside the UEFA Champions League revenue. The same cut policy affects other players. Zeki Celik, whose contract also ends, is reportedly demanding nearly double his current 2 million euros. Conversely, Stephan El Shaarawy seems willing to accept a reduction of over 50 percent to continue his career in the Italian capital. Regarding the future of Dybala and Pellegrini, Gasperini was clear: 'I believe these two players have already spoken with the management. But for the survival of the club, we need to reduce the wage bill. It's not that the team doesn't want to, but it has to be reduced. If there is an agreement, great. Otherwise, we will part ways.'
