According to journalist Gerard Romero, Barcelona is finalizing the signing of Karim Adeyemi, the 24-year-old German international who plays for Borussia Dortmund. Hansi Flick, the two-time champion coach with the Catalans, has already approved the market move, which could lead to Raphinha’s departure to Arab football. Adeyemi is entering the final year of his contract with the German club, putting Dortmund ‘against the wall’: either they transfer him now and still make some money — the player is valued at 40 million euros on Transfermarkt — or risk losing him for free in a year when his contract ends. Adeyemi joined Dortmund in 2021, signed for 30 million euros from Salzburg, and is one of the key figures in the team, having caused great surprise with his absence from Julian Nagelsmann’s squad for the World Cup. Known for his impressive speed, the winger scored 22 goals and provided 15 assists in the last two seasons (80 games). He primarily plays on the right side of the attack, and Barcelona has already signed a winger for the other side, Englishman Anthony Gordon, from Newcastle.
