Anthony Lopes Ahmed Kantari – Official: Anthony Lopes has a new coach

Vahid Halilhodžić has been announced as the new coach of Nantes, where Portuguese player Anthony Lopes plays, until the end of the season, replacing Ahmed Kantari, who has been removed from the team’s command. The 73-year-old Bosnian coach is returning to a club he knows well: in addition to being an emblematic figure for Nantes as a player from 1981 to 1986 — he became champion in 1983 and was the league’s top scorer twice, in 1983 (with 27 goals) and 1985 (with 28 goals) — he also managed the team in the 2018/2019 season. As a coach, he has led clubs such as PSG, Lille, and Dinamo Zagreb, as well as the national teams of Algeria, Japan, and Morocco.
