Mirassol has secured the signing of Tiquinho Soares, former forward of FC Porto, Vitória de Guimarães, and Nacional, from Santos. The 35-year-old player has arrived on loan until the end of 2026, with the São Paulo club covering part of his salary. Tiquinho Soares, a 1.87-meter tall forward, is a well-known name in Portuguese football. He represented Nacional, Vitória de Guimarães, and FC Porto in Portugal, where he experienced the most successful period of his career with the Dragons. Over three and a half seasons, he scored 64 goals and won five titles: two National Championships in 2017/18 and 2019/20, a Taça de Portugal in 2019/20, and the Supertaça in 2018. After his time in Portugal, the forward had stints with Tianjin Tiger in China in 2020 and Olympiakos in Greece in 2021, where he became a Greek champion. In the same year, he returned to Brazil to play for Botafogo, where he scored 44 goals and provided 17 assists over two seasons, culminating in winning the Brasileirão and the Copa Libertadores in 2024. Tiquinho Soares transferred to Santos in 2025 and made 40 appearances, scoring seven goals and assisting as many. He now joins the surprise team of last season's Brasileirão, which finished fourth in the competition in its first season after promotion and thus secured qualification for the Libertadores.
