Éder Militão broke his silence to deny information circulating about him. The Real Madrid central defender issued a statement in response to news released this week by Brazilian journalist Leo Dias, who stated that Militão and his teammate at Real Madrid and Brazil Vinícius Júnior had hired female escorts, from Piracicaba, to travel to Madrid.

An advisor to Vinícius had already addressed the matter, stating that the women traveled in the company of the players’ friends and that they paid their own expenses. However, Militão’s name remained associated with the controversy.
The controversy gained greater dimension in Brazil after Virginia Fonseca, until then Vinícius’ partner, announced the end of the relationship with the striker.
Now, in his statement, Militão denies all allegations. “I would like to clarify that all the information attributed to me is false and has no proof whatsoever”, it can be read. The player highlights the personal impact that the situation has had on him, especially as he recovers from a ruptured tendon in his biceps femoris, an injury that prevents him from participating in the 2026 World Cup for Brazil, and with his wife, Tainá, who is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
«I confess that I am scared by this whole situation. I’ve reached the point where I practically don’t leave the house when my wife isn’t there, precisely because of the impact and the proportion that these unfounded accusations have taken”, stated the defense.
Militão also demands the presentation of concrete evidence. «If there is any concrete accusation in which my name is mentioned, real evidence must be presented, and not just assumptions, hasty judgments or narratives created on the internet», he challenged.
