Levante, coached by Luís Castro, beat Samu Costa’s Mallorca 2-0 at home. The goals of the match, which ended in confusion with the expulsion of Brugué, from the home team, and Mojica, from the visitors, in the 85th minute, were scored by Carlos Espí, in the 32nd minute, and by Arriaga, in the 87th minute. The Valencia team came out of the relegation places, scored 42 points and reached 15th place, while the island team has 39 and is second to last heading into the final round.
Levante’s score is the same as that of Osasuna, who lost 1-2 to Espanyol, who are now in 11th, and Elche, owned by André Silva and Martim Neto, who added three precious points by beating Getafe 1-0 at home. Gonçalo Guedes’ Real Sociedad reached the final minutes of the match against Valencia winning, in San Sebastián, by 3-2, but goals from Guido Rodríguez, in the 89th minute, assisted by Portuguese midfielder André Almeida, and Javi Guerra, in the 90’+3, served by Portuguese full-back Thierry Correia, confirmed the great turnaround of the ché emblem, which surpassed the Basques in the table: is in ninth, with 46 points, one more than Real, who is in 10th.
Sevilla, who lost 0-1 to Real Madrid, thanks to a goal from Vinícius Jr. at 15′, and Alavés, who won 1-0 against Oviedo, confirmed their stay. Both teams have 43 points and, due to the clash between Elche (42 points) and Girona (40) in the last round, they guaranteed that, in addition to Mallorca (39) and Oviedo (29), at least one of these two will finish the championship with fewer points. Athletic Bilbao drew 1-1 with Celta in the European fight, while Rayo Vallecano beat Renato Veiga’s Villarreal 2-0.
Levante, Osasuna, Elche, Girona and Mallorca. Of these five, two will join Oviedo in the relegation to La Liga 2.
