Cole Palmer, one of the most notable absences from Thomas Tuchel’s squad for the 2026 World Cup, broke his silence about his non-inclusion, stating that he is not closely following England’s games.
In an interview with i-D magazine, the 24-year-old player assured that he is not “crying” over the coach’s decision and that he intends to take advantage of the period to rest, admitting that he will only watch the games “if he has nothing to do”.
«I’m going to relax this summer, rest for the first time in three or four years, before going back to doing what I love. This season wasn’t the best, but that’s part of it. I’m not going to cry over a decision I can’t change, and I hope the boys make it to the end,” said Cole Palmer.
