The Ghana Football Association announced the departure of coach Otto Addo just hours after a 1-2 defeat to Germany in Stuttgart on Tuesday, and only a few days after losing 1-5 to Austria. The GFA terminated the contract with the head coach of the senior men's national team (Black Stars), Otto Addo, with immediate effect, according to a statement. The former Borussia Dortmund player, who was appointed in March 2024, failed to qualify Ghana for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, despite having Premier League players like Antoine Semenyo and Mohammed Kudus on the team. He recorded eight wins and nine losses in 22 matches in charge. Ghana, which qualified for the World Cup for the fifth time, is in Group L alongside Croatia, England, and Panama.
