Coach currently under contract with the Parisian club until 2027
Paris Saint-Germain have already opened talks over a contract renewal with Luis Enrique, whose current deal runs until June 2027. According to Le Parisien, the French club consider the coach’s continuity an absolute priority. Sources close to the Spaniard say he is “very happy in Paris and at PSG”.
With less than a year and a half remaining on his current contract, Luis Enrique’s future has once again become a central topic at the club. PSG are keen to build their long-term project around the Spanish manager and have therefore initiated discussions to extend his stay.
Club officials reportedly view Luis Enrique as “the best coach in the world”, a status reinforced by the six trophies won in 2025. His departure is not being considered as a realistic scenario.

Luis Enrique has reshaped the team in his own image, placing strong emphasis on young talent such as 18-year-old Dro Fernandez, recently signed from Barcelona on a contract running until 2030. His continued presence is seen as essential for the squad’s stability and long-term growth.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi reportedly considers the appointment of Luis Enrique, as successor to Christophe Galtier, to be the best decision of his presidency. The Spanish coach works in close alignment with sporting advisor Luís Campos.
Around a year ago, Luis Enrique publicly expressed his desire to remain in Paris:
“Stay for 10 years? I hope so, but the reality is that it’s very difficult to remain that long at a top club. Based on my previous experiences, I’ve never stayed more than four years. I needed time to recharge because energy runs out. But here, this is a completely different project. I feel very good, very comfortable. It would be fantastic if my adventure here lasted 10 years.”
