Former Brazilian full-back Cafu was challenged and stated that, in terms of technical quality, Neymar surpasses Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, although he noted that the commitment of the Argentine and the Portuguese is superior. In an interview with Podpah, the former captain of the Brazilian national team placed the current Santos player at the top of the last generations regarding pure talent. “In my view, Neymar is greater than Messi. However, perhaps Messi’s commitment is different. Among the last generations, Neymar is greater than everyone. He has more resources, technical quality. He can compete with either of the two. But, in terms of commitment, Cristiano Ronaldo,” declared the former footballer. This statement comes at a time when there is debate about Neymar’s possible participation in his fourth World Cup. The forward has been left out of Carlo Ancelotti’s call-ups while he seeks to regain his best form playing for Santos.
