Artur Jorge's arrival in Brazil to take over as head coach of Cruzeiro has been postponed due to an unexpected bureaucratic issue in Qatar. The Portuguese coach was scheduled to travel this Friday but was unable to board his flight. The setback was caused by a local holiday marking the end of Ramadan, which prevented the completion of all necessary documentation for the former Al Rayyan coach to leave the country. The initial plan was for him to arrive in São Paulo early Saturday morning, followed by a flight to Belo Horizonte in the afternoon. Cruzeiro is now redefining the logistics to welcome their new coach, a process also influenced by the reduced number of flights in the region due to the war in the Middle East. The club intended for the Portuguese coach to attend the match between Cruzeiro and Santos, part of the Brasileirão, on Sunday. Although his presence at the Mineirão stadium is now in doubt, this delay is not expected to affect the start of training under his command, scheduled for next week during the break for international fixtures. During the draw for the group stage of the Copa Libertadores, Cruzeiro's SAF vice president, Pedro Junio, had already addressed the hiring. 'It's not finalized yet, but it's very much on track. We're exchanging documents, but we have high hopes and expect to announce it as soon as possible and for him to be here by the weekend to watch the game against Santos.'
