Central defender Jérémy Jacquet, recently signed by Liverpool for over €60 million for the 2026/27 season, suffered a serious shoulder injury in the 69th minute of Rennes' match against Lens this Saturday, which was part of Ligue 1. The 20-year-old fell awkwardly and left the field visibly in agony. This was not the only bad news for Rennes coach Habib Beye, who also loses Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal to another serious injury. "For Jacquet, it's the shoulder, and for Boudlal, it's muscular," said Rennes coach Habib Beye afterwards. "We will have time to see, but it is quite serious for both," he added.
