In the early hours of this Sunday there was a duel in Brazil between Portuguese coaches. Palmeiras, owned by Abel Ferreira, hosted Cruzeiro, owned by Artur Jorge, and there was no winner (1-1). This was a reunion between the two, a year and a half after the former Al Rayyan won the Brasileirão and Libertadores with Botafogo.

The game was marked by two great goals: Cruzeiro started winning after 11 minutes and thanks to a great goal from Arroyo, who received the ball at the edge of the area, cut inside and shot low into the corner of the goal.

Palmeiras’ response came not even nine minutes later and in kind: another great goal, now from a former FC Porto player, Felipe Anderson. After a corner, the ball asked to be kicked and it resulted in 1-1, in style, driving Allianz Parque crazy.

However, even in the first half, Abel Ferreira lost two players to injury and one of them was Felipe Anderson, who clutched his thigh (muscle injury), towards the end, giving way to Lucas Evangelista, ex-Estoril and Vitória de Guimarães. Before his goal, Sosa also had to leave and was replaced by Maurício.
