Aston Villa Complete Mbaye and Harwood-Bellis Signings as Emery Eyes Continued Success

Aston Villa have completed the signings of winger Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain and defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis from Southampton on transfer deadline day, as the club seeks to maintain momentum following their recent European success.

The 18-year-old Mbaye joined Villa for £47 million, while Harwood-Bellis arrived in a £25 million deal. These moves mark Villa’s ninth and tenth summer signings, reflecting a significant squad overhaul orchestrated by manager Unai Emery. The club has been active in the transfer market after generating over £300 million from the sales of nine players, including key figures from their Europa League-winning squad.

Villa’s summer departures included Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, Ezri Konsa, Youri Tielemans, Lucas Digne, and Emiliano Martínez.
