Atlético Madrid Secure £34.1m Deal for Tottenham Captain Cristian Romero

Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Atlético Madrid for the transfer of their captain and centre-back Cristian Romero in a deal worth £34.1 million (€40 million). This move concludes Romero’s turbulent 2025-26 season at Spurs.

Romero’s season was marked by difficulties, including four separate suspensions that disrupted his contributions on the pitch.
