CD Eldense, based in the city of Elda, competes in the highly competitive Segunda División, the second tier of Spanish football. The club has been striving to establish greater stability and growth within this challenging league, which serves as a gateway to La Liga, Spain’s top-flight competition.

Messi’s entry into the ownership of CD Eldense reflects his ambition to remain actively engaged in football beyond his time on the pitch. By leveraging his vast experience and global stature, Messi aims to influence the club’s management and development strategies positively. This move could help raise the club’s profile and attract enhanced investment and talent.

Although specific plans following the acquisition have not been publicly detailed, the club stands to benefit from Messi’s deep understanding of the sport and extensive network. His involvement could lead to improvements in infrastructure, youth development, and competitive performance, positioning CD Eldense better within the Segunda División.

This acquisition follows Messi’s growing interest in football management and ownership roles, signaling a broader trend of former players transitioning into leadership positions within the sport.
