Thomas Muller No Rush – Thomas Muller on the End of His Career: ‘I’m in No Rush’

Thomas Muller does not yet have a date for ending his football career. After a highly successful stint at Bayern, where he won 25 trophies, the 37-year-old midfielder moved to Canada, joining the Vancouver Whitecaps in Major League Soccer, a club he is contracted with until the end of the year. "As in everything in my life, I'm in no rush to commit unconditionally. My main motivation is to play football as long as it satisfies me. My first months in Vancouver have been a lot of fun. Now, I have my first full season in MLS ahead of me," he stated to Die Welt. "At the end of last season, I felt that the demands were a bit excessive for me. So, I haven't decided what to do yet, but I continue to enjoy the game. Being able to decide a game at home with a penalty goal in the 90th minute, when the pressure is so high, is the reason I still go to bed early," added the 2014 World Cup champion with Germany. He also admitted to having discussions with Bayern's management about the possibility of returning to the club in a management role one day, although he emphasizes that he is not thinking about that immediately: "I want to continue my education after the end of my career. At the moment, I'm not thinking about accumulating certificates. When I do something, I want to dedicate myself 100 percent."
