Asian Competition News Al Nassr – Financial Crisis Forces Al Nassr to Withdraw from Asian Competition

News, goals, and analysis – only on the official A BOLA app. The women’s football team of Al Nassr, featuring Portuguese international Andreia Faria, last season’s Saudi champion, is about to announce its withdrawal from the West Asian Championship due to a severe financial crisis affecting the club. According to the Saudi newspaper Arriyadiyah, the financial problems have significantly impacted the team’s preparation for the new season, preventing contract renewals and the signing of new players. The same source revealed that the club cannot even meet the minimum number of players required for registration in the competition, whose deadline is July 26. The majority of athletes with valid contracts are not enough to reach the minimum participation limit. The draw for the competition, which will take place in Jordan from July 28 to August 5, had placed Al Nassr’s women’s team in Group B, alongside Syria’s Al Hilal and Iraq’s Naft Al Shamal. Group A is led by Jordan’s Al Ittihad, which will face the UAE’s FC and Lebanon’s Beirut Academy.
