Nicolò Tresoldi’s Hat-Trick Secures Club Brugge Shock Win Over Inter Milan

Club Brugge stunned Inter Milan with a thrilling 4-3 victory at the San Siro, thanks to a sensational hat-trick from their 22-year-old forward Nicolò Tresoldi in Tuesday’s Champions League group stage match.

The Italian-born Germany Under-21 international was the standout performer of the night, scoring all three of Club Brugge’s first goals and turning the game on its head against the Serie A giants. The result marks one of the most surprising outcomes in the competition so far this season.

Inter initially took the lead in the match, but Tresoldi’s clinical finishing kept Club Brugge in the contest. His first goal came just before the half-hour mark, converting a penalty awarded after Hakan Calhanoglu fouled Carlos Forbs inside the box. This gave the Belgian side renewed belief heading into the break.

The young forward doubled his tally shortly after halftime by capitalising on a rare mistake from Inter’s goalkeeper Josep Martínez. Demonstrating sharp instincts and quick reactions, Tresoldi pounced on the error to level the score.

With a quarter of an hour remaining, Tresoldi completed his hat-trick by outpacing the Inter defence to put Club Brugge ahead for the first time in the match. Despite Inter’s efforts to respond, the Belgian side held on to secure a remarkable victory on Italian soil.

This result deals a blow to Inter’s Champions League aspirations, complicating their path in the group stage and boosting Club Brugge’s chances of progressing. For Tresoldi, this performance significantly raises his profile on the European stage and could have major implications for his career trajectory.

Club Brugge will now look to build on this momentum in their upcoming fixtures, while Inter must regroup quickly to avoid further damage in the group standings. The next round of Champions League matches will be crucial for both clubs as they aim to secure qualification to the knockout stages.
