Mbappé’s Late Double Secures Dramatic Real Madrid Win Over Barcelona at Camp Nou

Real Madrid secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over Barcelona at the Camp Nou, thanks to a late double from Kylian Mbappé. The win marked an important moment for José Mourinho’s side, who came from behind to claim all three points in one of the season's most intense El Clásico encounters.

The match, played on Sunday, 25 October 2026, saw Barcelona initially take control with Raphinha leveling the score after Madrid had taken an early lead. However, as the game drew to a close, the energy levels of both teams dipped, setting the stage for a thrilling finish. It was Jude Bellingham’s clever play that sparked the decisive move, with a precise pass to Eduardo Camavinga. Camavinga then sprinted past Pau Cubarsí and delivered the crucial assist for Mbappé’s winning goal with just minutes remaining.

This victory is significant for Real Madrid and Mourinho, who returned to the Camp Nou as manager for the first time in thirteen years. The result halts Barcelona’s momentum, preventing them from extending their lead at the top of La Liga and keeping the title race very much alive heading into November.

Mbappé’s contribution was pivotal, scoring both goals for Madrid in a tightly contested match that showcased the skill and determination of both sides. The win not only boosts Madrid’s confidence but also demonstrates Mourinho’s tactical acumen in managing such a high-pressure fixture.

With Barcelona’s hopes of pulling away in the league curtailed, the battle for supremacy in La Liga remains wide open. Real Madrid’s victory injects renewed belief into their campaign, while Barcelona will need to regroup quickly to maintain their challenge.

Looking ahead, Real Madrid will aim to build on this momentum in their upcoming fixtures, while Barcelona must respond swiftly if they are to stay in touch with the league leaders. The clash underlined the unpredictable nature of the title race this season, promising an exciting campaign for fans of Spanish football.
