Ruben Amorim is back in action after an unfortunate stint at Manchester United. The Portuguese coach succeeds Allegri at Milan. The former Sporting coach had planned not to be on the bench this season after leaving Manchester United in January, but the invitation from the Italians, which he admitted was one of his childhood clubs that he dreamed of coaching, proved too tempting. “There are ambitions that accompany us throughout our careers, and coaching Milan has always been one of mine. I know exactly what this club represents: history, prestige, and an extraordinary fan base worldwide. It is a challenge I embrace with pride and enthusiasm, fully aware of what these colors represent. I can’t wait to start and experience daily the passion that drives Milan,” Ruben Amorim stated in comments released by the rossoneri. The Italian-American Gerry Cardinale, owner of Milan, explained the choice of Ruben Amorim. “We have been following Ruben for years, and his time at Sporting is extremely impressive, reflecting the style of play we are looking for. He is one of the most prepared and innovative coaches of the new European generation: young, ambitious, and with a modern football identity defined by game dominance through ball possession, a modern pressing system, and a clear tactical approach. Ruben believes in attacking football with high pressure and quick transitions that allow for more goals. His philosophy aligns perfectly with our vision, and his leadership qualities and track record in player development stood out to us. We believe in Ruben and are excited to welcome him to the club,” he pointed out.
