Liverpool Secures Signing of Spanish Winger Víctor Muñoz from Osasuna

Liverpool has successfully signed Spanish winger Víctor Muñoz from Osasuna, stepping in to secure the player despite his advanced negotiations with Newcastle United. The transfer sees Liverpool pay the player's release clause, bringing Muñoz to Anfield ahead of the upcoming season.

Víctor Muñoz, a promising winger who emerged as one of La Liga's revelations in the 2025/2026 season, was initially close to joining Newcastle. The Magpies had reportedly agreed on a deal worth 35 million euros plus 5 million euros in bonuses. However, Liverpool chose to activate Muñoz's release clause of 40 million euros, effectively redirecting the transfer to the Premier League club based in the city of the Beatles.

Muñoz's move to Liverpool represents a significant development for both the player and the club. For Liverpool, the signing is intended to fill the gap left by Mohamed Salah, who recently departed.
