Physical Problems Persist for St. Juste After Joining Feyenoord
After terminating his contract with Sporting, defender St. Juste continues to struggle with physical problems at Feyenoord, leaving his latest match early as the club maintains its strong league position.

St. Juste experienced further physical setbacks during his third appearance for Feyenoord, coming off the bench against Telstar before being forced to leave the field early due to injury concerns. The defender, who recently ended his contract with Sporting, was substituted on at halftime but lasted only 30 minutes before a collision prompted medical staff to remove him as a precaution.
St. Juste, aged 29, joined Feyenoord ahead of the current season and is still awaiting his first start for the club. His latest physical issue arose after a clash with an opponent's leg, raising concerns over a potential head injury. The Feyenoord medical team acted swiftly to prevent further risk, prioritising the player's health by withdrawing him from the match.
This development is significant for both St. Juste and Feyenoord. The player’s ongoing injury troubles may delay his integration into the squad and limit his contributions on the pitch. For Feyenoord, managing player fitness is crucial as they aim to maintain their strong position in the Eredivisie, currently sitting second in the table with 48 points. The club is five points clear of NEC and Ajax, though PSV remains well ahead with 62 points.
The match against Telstar ended in a 2-1 victory for Feyenoord, highlighted by the debut of Raheem Sterling, who entered the game in the 61st minute after the result was largely decided. Anis Hadj Moussa, who scored twice, played a key role in securing the win. Another substitute, Tengstedt, also featured, adding depth to the squad during the fixture.
Looking ahead, Feyenoord will be focused on maintaining their challenge for a top league finish while managing the fitness of players like St. Juste. The defender’s recovery and ability to secure a starting position will be closely monitored as the season progresses. Meanwhile, the team prepares for upcoming matches with the aim of closing the gap on PSV or solidifying their hold on second place in the Eredivisie.
